About Us
The 20 plus years of cabinet design, construction, and installation experience began in 1995. Chris, then a printing pressman and a custom woodworker for pleasure, was approached by a friend to pursue a full-time career in woodworking. Within 6 months Chris was a self-employed woodworker specializing in custom cabinetry. The business was originally established in Lowell, Michigan, with Chris doing work for custom home builders around the West Michigan area. The business continued to grow at a steady pace for the next 12 years. In 2007, the business was moved to Sparta, Tennessee, the childhood home of Chris’s wife, Rechel. Chris and Rechel wanted the opportunity for their two young boys to grow up in Sparta and experience a slower, more cordial way of life. With the move, the name of the business was changed to Walker Cove Custom Woodworks to reflect the new location. Walker Cove Custom Woodworks has earned a reputation for personal service and quality workmanship with many repeat customers. Our custom cabinets have been featured in both the 2014 and 2016 Upper Cumberland Parade of Homes. We have also been a long time participant in the Upper Cumberland Home and Garden Show. We are a family owned business that takes great pride in a satisfied customer and a job well done.
